When looking for frozen treat perfection, many people's tastebuds scream for ice cream. Ice cream has always topped the list of favorites and thankfully, speciality shops are making a resurgence in Marin County.
Here are five of the best places to indulge in Marin County, according to The Marin Independent Journal.
FAIRFAX SCOOP
Since it opened in 2001, Fairfax Scoop has made fresh waffle cones daily and churns their own rich and delicious ice cream. Their flavors are unique and seasonal and include the likes of vanilla honey lavender and mud pie. Their organic ingredients are sourced locally. And, they do their best to incorporate sustainable practices such as using only edible cups (i.e. cones!) and they wash and reuse their tasting spoons. Serving 12 flavors a day, people line up to get their favorite to eat immediately or to bring home for a family treat.
