Michelin-starred chef and restauranteur Michael Mina, whose Mina Group operates 40+ restaurants worldwide, will be taking over the Tiburon spot that once housed Guaymas. Official details regarding name, concept, and opening date have not yet been released, but it looks as though Marin will be adding another world-renowned chef to its culinary scene.
From California to Miami, and from Las Vegas to Dubai, Michael Mina is a heavy hitter in the restaurant industry. Known for world-class food, his cookbook, and numerous television appearances, Mina fits the description of “celebrity chef”. In fact, Mina has been a star in Bay Area foodie circles for two decades, starting with the opening of his namesake restaurant in San Francisco. Multiple Michelin stars, prestigious awards, and dozens of restaurants later, Mina will be opening his first location in Marin County.
